ATI 6.1 Catalyst drivers

Hello all!

Would like to know if the ATI Catalyst driver come with an unattended/silent install feature for the Radeon 7500 series and the X300 Series.

Hope I am in the right sub-forum!

I have tried the following from another discussion forum with no success:

setup /s /v"/qn REBOOT=ReallySuppress"

setup /w /V"/qb REBOOT=ReallySuppress"

/s is silent but noting installs when I run this command!!! But yes it is silent and you are not prompted for anything but!!!

/w prompts you but I am looking for the silent option!

Not sure what the other options do!

I download the driver in independant package ... I begins setup just to decompress content to C:\ATI ... after you find two folder :

DisplayDriver (or similrar I don't remember)

start /w setup -s

edit: Driver is packaged with InstallShied, and doesn't have same switchs as Windows Installer.

and other folder like ControlCenter or CCC

start /w setup.exe /S /V"/qb REBOOT=ReallySuppress"

Note .NET FrameWork must be installed to install ControlCenter ...

Note2: "start /w" allow to begin install and wait for end.

i downloaded the driver only package for ati catalyst 6.1 and i get a folder with to 2 subfolders looking like this:

6-1_xp-2k_dd_29602\2KXP_INF\B_29799

in the main folder i find setup.exe etc.

in the 2kxp_inf folder i find some inf and cat files

in the b_29799 i find some compressd dll but no inf.

AKAIK i cant put the folder just like it is into my $OEM$\Drivers\001_ATI folder can i?

do i need to make some additional changes, or can i just strip the main folders setup.exe and take the 2kxp_inf folder with subfolder putting it into the 001_ATI folder?

some help on this would be great!
