Hi all,

I created an nlited disk ages ago and started doing a fresh one today but ive got really stuck.

Everytime my disc boots up I get the 'harddrive cannot be found' messgae. Ive made about 10 coasters! My board uses the via (VT8237) chipset. (motherboard abit AV8)

I always point nlite drivers to:

VIA ComboRAID V5.20a package\drvdisk\i386\txtsetup.oem but no luck.

Theres a few other txtsetup files that come with the sata download but none of them seem to work!

The strange thing is, when I re-load my nlite data (to change the sata drives) there is nothing in the drivers list. All other settings (hotfixes/options/services) remain the same though.

I really cant think wat else todo.

Rich

Maybe this helps you...

Take a look File Attachment too. My board(Asus K8V) works fine with all this...

EDIT:
Look File again. There is another drivers now. Put then in your "viasdrivers" -folder.

I have used earlies and newest nlite and RVM_Intecrator. There is not any bug..

In my case, it looks like this >"InstallRoot"\$OEM$\$1\Drivers\VIASRAID

VIASRAID- folder include this:

viasraid.cat
viasraid.inf
viasraid.sys

And you have to make and use WINNT.SIF also. Put this file in \i386 -folder.

Attached File  VT8237_Chipset.zip (73.83K)
Number of downloads: 41

Thanks for reply, however, I would prefer to let nLite intergrate the drivers rather then me manually.

Ive tried all versions of via SATA driver now (some Ive used on previous nLite discs which have worked) and I still get the hardrive cannto be found message.

I thinking there could be a conflict with the latest nLite build?
Will try an older version.

Rich

same problem as me but I only made four coasters! today! Now got to get my Via/S3G igp to work next ;-)

Use the drivers from here

\VIA_RAID_V520A\VIA ComboRAID V5.20a package\drvdisk\i386\NT5

I think its something to do with either WHQL or that the oemsetup file isnt properly configured in the other archive, I tried every version till I got this to work (and it works a treat!)

I already did it with NT5, but no luck: tried with PNP and TXT methods. Can't find the hard drive... How did you manage it, Ice Rich?

edit: I tried the latest 5.30C drivers
