Hey guys! Are there any tutorials on the web on how to use fdisk the right way? Cuz I want to repartition my drive by having 4-5 partitions...I have a 40GB drive:

1GB = Windows 3.1
20GB = Windows XP
10GB = Backup
9GB = Backup

I've tried using fdisk once, but I REALLY don't understand it... :)

fdisk won't resize partitions, so I don't think its at all possible you'll be able to get what you requested.

If its really important that you use a DOS tool, then try out FIPS, or the partition magic 2 diskettes version.

AEFDISK is far more functional than FDISK. You might want to try that instead. Also, if you want to know what you can do with most DOS programs, just write something like "AEFDISK /?".

yup i agree, thank god it wasn't implemented into win2k/xp/2k3 as the primary partitioning tool :)
