i just got 4015 with bootfix. i then installed vmware workstation 4 to use this as another OS in adddition to xp. WHen i run daemon tools to use the iso, the install screen comes up fine. but, when i do it through vmware i get the following error:

*** VMware Workstation internal monitor error ***

VM attempting to execute in undefined memory.

Please report this problem by selecting menu item Help > VMware on the Web > Request Support, or by going to the Web page "www.vmware.com/info?id=8&...ore%2egz". If the problem is repeatable, please select 'Run with debugging information' in the Options panel of the configuration editor. Then reproduce the incident and file it according to the instructions.

We will respond on the basis of your support entitlement.

We appreciate your feedback,

now i cant send it to them so, any body have any tips with this problem?

these are my thoughts

1.i selected the guest OS as other when setting up this virtual machine...should i have picked something else

2.i read that longhorn needs 3 gigs to install and i made it a max of 5 gigs. but, vmware makes 2 gig sections...is that a problem

any other help would be appreciated

thanks in advance

You should have picked Windows XP Pro. as the OS, and then installed Longhorn...When I tried installing 4008, the VMware program didn't want to stop restarting the guest OS...So I gave up, and now I have a machine where I install OSes...

Im not sure that longhorn will work with vmWare, win2k3 doesn't even work properly in vmWare, it gets to a certain point in the install and then the keyboard doesnt respond. Visentinel has the same problem that i do, so I would recommend connectix virtual PC instead
