What is the best third-party firmware for linksys routers

Which one should I try ?

I've personally gone with DD-WRT firmware for my WRT54g. Many features to work with and very functional. You can find a comparison chart comparing the main-leaders in the firmware projects here..

Note: this compared the ones for the WRT54G. There are other firmwares there for other linksys routers as well.

I've had the tofu13c build running on my WRT54G for quite a while now and it's nothing short of fantastic.

i use DD-wrt, however the only issue i have is that it doesn't handle QoS under heavy download very well. Everything else about it is fantastic
