The Start menu still popping up on first boot, despite me having this in my reg file...

Where am I going wrong?

Is it this:

"StartMenuInit"=dword:00000000

i'l give that a go, I've got a near perfect cd done, its just these last problems that keep haunting me... grrr!

This may be one of those registry entries that does not stick and may need to be imported during RunOnceEx.
