this is what exactly windows 2000 boot look liked (based on win 2003 server), btw anyone know how this new logo (placed in hacked NTOSKRNL.EXE of course) can be placed in new installment of win 2k? or atleast in next USP pack? :D

also 256bit color for direct hack into NTOSKRNL.EXE

PS : attached hacked ntoskrnl later, imageshack convert .bmp into .png automatically

no this is the current ntoskrnl.exe from win2k (not sure if it pure or sp4), but in implementation the bar can't seem like xp/w2k3 loading that only looked liked standar win2k loading bar, but perhaps that isn't big problem
and from my own test my, i got white loading bar instead the original blue that made it cooler

i didn't even notice - you said 'based on'

by the way, could it be that windows inverts the color prop of the image's loading bar...

i think so and maybe we can get different result for the color of loading bar (instead of blue me got white) and maybe we can change the color for loading bar (how about the cool grey used on win2k3?) [

Be nice to see an alternate download for this, or a torrent maybe. The present one doesn't seem to like my ISP - always says I'm already downloading something. It then asks me to sign up for their premium service, and displays a screenful of porn images.

@mfarmilo
can you do some reshacking? if you can save the first image into 256 color (4 bit) bmp with rle compression and change the default bootlogo (ntoskrnl.exe) with reshack

i will release a new version of that bootlogo together with my X2K pack
