They are of no help. Please remove Ricktendo64_LunaBlackLClock_AddOn.7z because it screws up SVCPACK.INF.

This I forgot to mention....
1) Nothing was changed in the code for the Recovery Console installation. I'll have a look at it anyway.
2) The WMP11 addon is incompatible with the thorough slipstreaming HFSLIP does of WMP10. Why do you need both anyway? The plan is to tackle WMP11 slipstreaming after the new final is out.

@retalv:

It's already possible but it isn't "public" because we can't provide support for automated HFSLIP runs. If you make a mistake, we can't know what it is. Maybe someone will PM you with details.

@NtegrA:

What does the pop-up say? Can you share your HFSLIP.LOG and HFSLIPWU.INF files?

Like I said, probably jumped the gun (I like doing that :yes: ). I am at the moment running through the build with 61004b. I will redo with 61017b once this is finished and up the files.

I need to do with 61004b again because other things appear to have stopped working AFTER the build from HFSLIP is complete.

UPDATE:
running with 61004b works like a charm. Now running with 61017b. Files requested attached

thanks for this TC! i've already removed this addon ... i'll be able to test the finished .iso when i get home :) as for the wmp11 addon, i used it to overwrite a fully patched wmp10 ... i intend to remove it too or try doing it without wmp10 instead in my next runs ...

btw, running dumpdupes.cmd still showed the ff files: kmixer.sy_, splitter.sy_, wdmaud.sy_ in exclude.txt

Oh yeah, it does look like 61017a & 61017b broke an application that I install after the final reboot, "IBM System Update".

NtegrA...

Strange. "wmlaunch.exe" is part of MP10Setup.exe. Are you removing it with nLite or something?

How are you installing "IBM System Update" after the final reboot?

(2) how do we get rid of prompts like: "The software you are installing for this hardware ... has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP" usually at T-35 to T-34 ... this happens for about 5 or more times?

Are you using HFCLEANUP? If you are it's unofficially a known issue.

I had this problem when I used HFCLEANUP instead of nLite to remove Internet Explorer and some other stuff.

If you are, you probably are going to get that message even for drivers that come with Windows XP!

That's a strange issue, if you ask me. What is making Windows XP Setup be gay?

@Kiki...
If you want to keep the addon, use 61019a :)

I'll check out those three files dumpdupes reported and will update the DBLBINXP.EXT file if necessary.

All is good on WinXP SP2 English using 61017b :). Everything went through without a hitch :D!

Will also run dumpdupes.cmd on my computer to see.

Edit: Wow! 61019a already :P! Shouldn't make a difference for me though :lol:

I just ran HFSLIP 61019a using compression option D, and then used dumpdupes.cmd.

EXCLUDE.TXT has six files (attached).

OK... kmixer.sy_, splitter.sy_ and wdmaud.sy_ were added to DBLBINXP.EXT :)

All HF were correctly installed as far as I see.

Next time, I'll run hfslip and then nlite to remove the faulty component and only the faulty component.

:hello:
@ TC
Bag your pardon for the unpleasantness. :blushing: Oure right. Its the antivirus soft. 5 weeks ago i updated Kaspersky 5 to v.6.xxx.
Using hfslip 61017b with XPSP2 German... processing and all installations (VM, Real machine) ok.
W2kSP4 the same.
Thanks. GoodBye.

thanks TC for the consideration ... :) although benefits are for the addon users, you & TP going to the lengths of modifying HFSLIP code to be able to support 1 is really more than enough support ... i'm killing myself for saying this but it is not necessary in my opinion ... really thanks! :lol:

i created builds using 61017b & i present my observations:
(1) RC is still stuck when checking for disc space (this happens at T-13) ... no other option but to cancel it ... else installation of OS would not push through ... could there be some updates for Sep & Oct that might have affected RC installation? please correct me if i am mistaken --- before installing RC at T-13, SP2 has already been slipstreamed, right? (but perhaps this has nothing to do with being stuck checking for disc space :wacko: )
(2) removed booogy's WMP11 addon & used only WMP10 ... still the same result ... when launching it in GUI, it only shows for a few seconds & quits (add/remove programs show it as installed) ... again, i'm thinking there could be hotfix(es) that might have affected this
(3) running dumpdudes.cmd still showed 3 files in exclude.txt (although i've seen there's already a newer ver of DBLBINXP.EXT

RJARRRPCGP ... thanks! :)
for these recent runs, i only limited use of HFCLEANUP to using DBLBINXP.EXT

if it'd be of any help, i've attached some files for your review

it frustrates me not to be able to report as well as the others ... if i recall it correctly, my last successful runs were still in Aug ... before my computer was plagued :(

thanks!

@Kiki

1) Please upgrade to 61019a anyway because it's not just for that addon.

2) I see you already removed VMwareTools.exe. Someone else was having problems too and they were solved by removing that program.

3) Try to remove anything from your HFSVCPACK folder; it may be something in there that's causing the issue.

4) I'm now checking what could be wrong with the Recovery Console installation; the code is still the same.

thanks for the quick one TC! :P as always ... he! he! removing everything from HFSVCPACK folder is what i intend to do next ... after that though taxing ... & if free time would permit ... i would take out Oct HFs, then Sep HFs ... i'm guessing there might be 1 or some HFs causing this ...

i believe though that nothing was touched in the RC code ... i'm just puzzled why during that time ... correct me please if i am mistaken but RC installation comes before installation of those in HFSVCPACK so could any of those be the culprit? ;)

how about WMP10 (even WMP11 addon)? why do they just show for a few seconds & quit?

i'll report back in perhaps in a couple of days as i'm going to be on offs ... but should there be a new final already by the time i get back it's fine! i guess it's about time too to have a new final that serves all! :) i hope i will get this right somehow so i could report something nice already

btw, are we going to integrate ie7?

enjoy the weekend everybody! :)

Hi Kiki. I just tested the RC and it's working fine. The only thing I can think of is that you have a folder structure like "X:\I386\SVCPACK" on one of your hard disks where "X" is a drive letter that precedes the drive letter of the optical drive from which you install Windows.

No idea why WMP10 is failing for you. Try by removing all Windows media hotfixes that aren't mentioned on our lists.

@Tomcat, thanks for the new DBLBINXP.EXT. I'm not sure whether you missed my post or not, but I saw six files on my list (see page 73).

Those three others were already covered. I think you were a bit behind on updates with that file... :D
