just want to report that EVERYTHING works WELL for me usign the current test rel ... no bugs i'm happy with my current builds ... 1 purely HFSLIPped & another nLited --- both posing no issue ... a final in the making (ha! ha! ... to early to tell ... others might still post some probs;))

It can be considered "a release candidate" as far as WinXP is concerned. It still needs to be checked if everything's fine with KB916281 on Win2K and Win2K3.

BTW... Did you slipstream those Quicktime codecs in the last build?

Yes ... successfully slipstreamed those ... i used the older pack though to overwrite other files in the latest pack

oh btw, XPize is indeed accepted much better this time (i.e., boot screen shows already) ... incidentally, there is already a newer ver: XPize 4.4.2
and i have already downloaded the latest test release 60704a

I think I should stop HFSlip. Yesterday was Wednesday and on each first wednesday of the month, there is an alarm test in France. At first I thought, "ho, first wednesday of the month", immediately after I thought "hey, 7 days before patch day"!
I'm really too dangerous.

And it's really uncredible there is final versions of HFSlip with new patchs every month.

Tomcat - don't take this personally, but is there any way to speed up the release of HFSLIP finals after Patch Day? I know you need to do a lot of testing and release a bunch of feedback, but I find that once you release a new final, there are only a few days before I have to add more hotfixes.

By the way, 10 patches comin' up on the 11th!

The way it looks now, the next final should arrive faster. I don't have as much to do as in the previous months. I could release one this weekend already after testing KB916281 on Win2K and Win2K3 but I'd rather hold off until after Patch Tuesday.

And if you were reffering to me, I meant it was really uncredible a new stable release of HFSlip could be released each month with new updates from MS each month.

I already updated my lists (web pages) with the three new security hotfixes (KB896422 is replaced on XP and 2003) after checking them out. I don't see any problem with them.

I still need to check KB921181, though. Does that appear on Windows Update? Is it labeled an optional hotfix?

he! he! as always TC ... so i could finalize my ISOs too ... for fresh install again! but pls don't let my wish get in the way of ensuring HFSLIP works for all the other OSs ...

TC, i guess the thread on Windows XP SP1/SP2 updates and hotfixes, June 27 has not been updated yet to reflect those new MS updates ...

MS06-035 on 2003 sp1 (GDR version only) looks like it has an issue. It has srv.sys, but it also has srv.hp.sys. This might be a problem. Maybe update the latest test release to work around this?
