I just did a clean install of 98se. I need to get as many updates as possible. If I install this service pack 2.1a , how well will it perform and is there a lot of problems. I would like some answers before I would install. I would like some help on this.
Thanks, AL

If you were reading a bit the very recent posts in the dedicated Service Pack thread you would have read this. I couldn't put it better :

If they're starting with a fresh install, and Service Pack doesn't work for them, they won't lose much time by starting over fresh again without it. I figure it's worth a shot.

I've installed the SP on over a dozen machines and have had nothing but good results with it, every time. It patches WIn98SE and tweaks it to run as fast as possible. Nice stuff. Try it, you'll like it.

just be sure to backup your personal data files first onto any removable media (floppies, cd-rw discs, etc.) before you proceed in installing the Win98 SE service pack.
same here as HighPingDrifter, installing the Win98se Service pack on this old win98se pc at my next-door neighbor's house (she lets me use her PC) and it worked great.
