Hi,

I was wondering if there is a way to silent install a COM Modem under Windows XP from a .inf file.

Currently I install it though Modem Options in Control Panel and I manualy select the right driver and right COM port.

Is there any way to do it automaticaly, maybe with WMI ?

Thanks in advance for yours answers

If you're referring to installing the modem at the same time as a new installation of XP, then have a look at HFSLIP along with the HFDRV directory. HFDRV adds drivers to the source so all connected devices get detected upon installation. The drivers are also cabbed...less space on the CD. I'm working with it right now.

Thanks for your answer but I'm not looking for a slipstreaming solution.
I would like to have a silent modem installation process on pre-installed Windows XP computers network.
