I've followed the instructions from this site and other sites to the letter, here's a few bits of information.
I have a Dell with a Intel® 82801GR/GH SATA RAID Controller on board. Currently i Use a floppy to provide drivers so i can reinstall windows on my sata hdds. I want to slipstream this process so i don't need to do anything, windows automatically recognizes everything and uses the drivers i'll provide.
When i first tried this, it said it couldn't locate iastor.sys, that it was either corrupt and or missing. Well i fixed this problem, it no longer gives me this message, i'm assuming it has found the driver. However, when i ran the txt setup, it still couldn't locate any hard drives.
Next time, I tried loading drivers from the floppy like i had done earlier, when i did the same process, I got the message that Windows already had a driver for this device (this message didn't come up when I hadn't created the slipstreamed cd.) This tells me that the drivers are in the right place.
My question now is, how do i get Windows to install them automatically?
What files do you guys need to see to help?
Thanks!
