I tried LiteShell (a replacement for explorer.exe)
and now I get this error, note that the error is the
same each time but, with a different number.

This does not refer to any missing DLL

Why cant XP just TELL ME WHY?

Now all the shells do this, bbLean, Litestep, Aston
loads explorer, they ALL still load explorer no
matter what.

This happens on a full clean install of XP when
trying to explore from within another shell...

to me looks like there are missing quotes somewhere. look at error box, it can't find 'C:\Program' instead of 'C:\Program files'.

make sure all paths are correct and using quotes
