Hi All,

Currently at my job we are using Group Policy folder redirection for all desktop users. We redirect
the desktop, my documents and application data folder. We have a multi-user client version of Lotus Notes. This puts the Lotus profile in \documents and settings\username\local settings\application data\Lotus. For whatever reason the folder redirection will not move this folder. I have tried adjusting permissions etc. We want the ability to not have to install Lotus Notes and configure it on a new machine each time we rebuild it, someone leaves the company etc.

Any suggestions? We run Domino 6.54. I'm more of an exchange guy but this is the only thing stopping us from machine/user independence.

Thanks,

Greg

This is quite strange. Have you installed Lotus Notes before enforcing the policy. If yes, then you may try out a system wherein Lotus Notes is installed only after enforcing the policy.

The local settings folder is not copied by default with roaming profiles. You can add a registry entry to have the local settings folder copied with the rest of the profile, I added this to the Notes install msi.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] "ExcludeProfileDirs"="Temporary Internet Files;History;Temp"

Though I don't think Notes was intended to be used this way since they used a folder that is not part of roaming profiles. But it seems to work.
