My Westell 6100 router blocks some of my anti spyware programs from updating anyway I can fix this?
I know this because when I disconnect from the router and use a New connection you can make in Windows XP the updating works.

im not an expert with routers but i think all you need is to monitor the traffic for your program during update when its working and get the ip or name and port of the server it connect to and add a rule for it in your router.
