Hi,
Word crashes me every time the save as dialog should appear (clicking save as in the file menu or pressing save on new file). Regular save on changed document works.
How can I save as document?

Runing vista 5381.1, memory diagnostics found no errors.

even if vista has come a long way, it still is a beta release, so expect some glitches/bugs/errors.

Hi. I am having a similar (?) problem in Office 2000 sp3.
When I open the Save As dialog, it's fine. If I save the file there, all is well.
If I click the drop down on the "Save in" field, the field flashes, and flashes, and flashes.
If I click anywhere else in the window while this is happening, it often tells me that it is "(Not Responding)"
If I dare to click the drop down again, the whole app crashes with nothing noted in the event log.

All other (non-Office) apps can "Save As" -> "Save In" -> drop down just fine.

Initially we tried to reinstall Office. Didn't work.
Then the IT guy logged in as himself and it was fine for him.
So we created a new profile for my account.
All was well.
Until today.
It happened again.
I did some searching. Found the MS 06-15 problem. Completed the solution.
Didn't fix it.
Thankfully, I saved my "good" profile after I'd customized it and before the crashing began.
If I go to that profile, all is well. But for how long.....

Anyway, if it's a problem that appeared some time later and was not there from installation, maybe it's the same root. I'm going to post this situation on the appropriate board for Office 2000 as well.
