connect to the various p2p networks

hi all

I Need a program to connect to the various p2p networks and gather stats on active users and puts them in a database, the end result being a page like this:

We run a Fedora system so we would prefer the program to be written in C or a comparable language.

any type of help appriciatable

Those numbers are most likely estimates. Due to the decentralised nature of a p2p system it is nearly impossible to get an exact user count.

They're are also extremely low, considering the number of the world population that have computers and the percentage of those that use P2P.
