Find out what installer McAfee uses, then work your way from there from the three links at the bottom of the Applications page at: http://www.MSFN.org/...pplications.htm
McAfee is bound to be using Windows Installer, or Installshield for a popular program. :-)

i have version 6.0 and here is what i have done so far.
ECHO Installing McAfee VirusScan 6.0
ECHO Please wait...
start /wait %systemdrive%\install\McAfee\setup /QN
ECHO.
it comes up with a screen that says that the virusscan was not purchased, but i have just closed out of it and have not had any problems. below is the what i have for the firewall. however using the /QB or /QN will not allow it to do an automated install, the user has to choose the setup. i am going to continue work to see if i cannot find a way to show it registered.
ECHO Installing McAfee Firewall 6.0
ECHO Please Wait...
start /wait %systemdrive%\install\McAfee\MFW\setup

thanks for the reply !!
i forgot that version 7 has the firewall option
maybe it might not be the best to include virus scanning software in the automated cd.......might just have to suck it up and do that manually once the system is up :/
