Just been looking through nVidia's latest nForce4 audio drivers and trying to figure out exactly what ks.inf and wdmaudio.inf do as part of the drivers. The two lines are...

Include=ks.inf,wdmaudio.inf
Needs=KS.Registration,WDMAUDIO.Registration

...but it's not clear to me exactly what they do. Obviously it goes through the respective sections of those files, but beyond that, someone smarter than me would have to share their knowledge.

Basically, what is the function of those two files and if the lines are removed, would the drivers still work (what would the differences be)?
