To upgrade our W2K DC to W2003, we need to prep the AD Forest for W2003. We log on to the DC with an enterpise/domain admin account and we run the "adprep /forestprep" command.

Error:

A previous schema extension has defined the attribute value as "2.5.5.4" for object "PreferedLanguage" diferently than the schema extension needed for Windows 2003 server.

Adprep cannon extend your existing Schema
[User Action]
Resolve the inconsistency then run adprep again

pecommes has the preffered language on the 2000 DC been changed? it sounds like the 2003 forest prep was looking for the preffered languague to be something else, possibley the standard english
