is there a way to block imesh within the dns lookups?
or, has anyone been successful with port blocking?
got a few p2p services. having trouble blocking them with a SonicWALL 4060.

You could stop new imeshs by blocking request to the bootstrap servers. But this will only stop NEW clients. If you have access to the computers inside your network, you can uninstall them. If they are installed again they won't download anything.
Block : imesh.com, *.imesh.com, fm*.imesh.com, fm2.imesh.com
(thinking of a way to stop already running imesh clients)

well, after sitting down to try it out myself. YES, i can block imesh by making a forward lookup zone on my DNS server.
would still like to know the port blocking though...
