Some may not like this feature, as it could be viewed as an invasion of privacy, but Google's use of personallized search and maintenance of your search history I think makes it one of the best. Of course, you can turn off search history and personalized search, I find it assists more each time I use it, plus I like the personallized homepage.

Do not click on the second link. The second link is a referral link to which he gets a percentage to. Search the username and it comes up with him posting the same message on forums. Notice the link has search.php?aff=15881&saff=1&q=Interest+Rates !

Thank you come again.

Of course it's Google... but sometimes you need to use more than one search engine.

Here's an entire site about how to search effectively: www.searchlores.org

astalavista isn't as good as it used to be. i use astakiller instead now.

for general searches i use google, but i also use altavista because it indexes some things that google doesn't (like MY page!)

if i may jeremy i'd like to modify your quote to read "The only real valuable thing is tuition." :D

Why use the Google bar at all? Just type

g Something to search for

and you'll be redirected to your search. You can do this for any search engine you find on the internet by right-clicking on the search box and selecting "Create Search".

I've mentioned vivisimo.com before. It is nice for a change and the results you get back can be different than in Google.
