Here is the problem: I
installed office 2007, and decided that I did not want outlook 2007. So I
uninstalled outlook 2007 pro only to find that outlook 2003 would not work.
So to fix outlook, I uninstalled office 2007, and fixed outlook 2003. So now
I want to reinstall office 2007 (without outlook) but keep getting the
following message right after entering the keycode:

"An error occurred druing the installation and Microsoft Office Professional
Plus 2007 (Beta) setup was unable to complete."

The original uninstall of office 2007 beta 2 worked fine as far as I know.
The problem I am having effects all of the beta products. I get the same
error even if I try to install visio 2007 beta 2. I have generated my
setuplog file from %temp% below and it looks like this last bit is my
problem. I keep on
getting the same hex error for the same "download ID" each time I try to
reinstall the beta:

Error: Failed to create download: cannot get or load download from the
given download ID "{30120000-0011-0000-0000-0000000FF1CE}-C". Error code:

I looked up the hex error on a bunch of forums and found some interesting prospects to fix the problem. I am assuming that the problem is that the 2007 beta did not remove the reference to the download cache from my registry based on this:[b]

Has anyone else had this problem? I think it has to deal with the Local Installation Source (LIS) GUID in the registry[u][b]Anyone who has an opinion or insight into this problem, I'd love to read what you have to say.
