If you are just running it as a desktop OS there is no advantage in running W2k3 instead of XP. The default install is a bit faster running than XP but once you tweak and install everything you need to make it function as a desktop OS then the speeds are about the same.

w2k3 IS xp home-- under the hood

Im not too sure about that...

Im sure its some modification between win2k and Xp pro...

But xp home is not capable of a serving situation due to its lack of support for dualo CPUs as well as large mem page.
