how to remap the joypad keys?

ok i installed this new game "devil may cry 3:special edition" and the movement in the game are kinda screwed.i push forward and it goes left and down goes to right... .

i serached google and there were others with the same problem but some people managed to remap the bottons and axes with these two softwares: 1.joytokey 2.controlmk

but joytokey just map the joypad bottons to keyboard key and the other one i dont know what the hell it does.

can anyone give me hand over here?
