Hey guys,

I hope you guys are good at figuring out stuff in Vista, because I have a doozie of a problem.

My computer is a dual-boot, with XP Pro SP2 on 1 partition and Vista build 5384 on the other partition.

On the Vista partition, I have Office 2007 beta 2 and Windows Live Messenger Installed. When I click a link in Outlook, or try to view my unread e-mail messages in Windows Live Messenger, Internet Explorer freezes up right away. The catch is, whenever I try to open up Internet Explorer normally afterwards, it freezes up right away as well. The only way to fix this is to reset Internet Explorer, re-enable all of the add-ons, and it works until I do what is outlined earlier. The only workaround that I found was to run Internet Explorer without add-ons. It will work in this mode no problem.

Does anyone know what's wrong?

I think I stumbled on a temporary solution.

Disable Protective Mode in the Internet Properties.

Vista will complain but IE will work.
