what appz open an .img file extention

Seems that all depends on what type of .img

If its IMG as in CD Image, try these apps in this order: ISObuster, WinISO, then WinImage

If its an IMG file made by cloneCD, then Deamon tolls is good program if you want to mount them instead of open them :)
