Can't create iso

Hi,

I was recommended this tool by one of the Dell Gold Support techs and was impressed on my first attempt.

I slipstreamed Win 2K + SP4 + the two .inf files for the 1320raid driver.

This worked fine, it did the slipstream and then created an .iso which I burnt and used to install.

During the install it asked for the a320.sys file. So I thought I would create another disk, this time with this file included.

This is where it all went wrong. Everything works except there is no option to create the .iso. It goes all the way through to the screen where I can choose the priority and that works through the process. Then I click next and I get the final credits with a Finish button. Pressing this closes the app.

No options to write the file.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Rebuilt the entire slipstream, tried adding the files to an existing slip. No luck.

Where am I going wrong?

PC: Win XP SP2

thanks,

/Mad

Did you try nlite 1.0.1, or RC8 ?

If you had that issue with 1.0 then it's possible that it will be ok with 1.0.1 as it has some fix regarding the textmode driver integration.

Hi,

thanks for your reply.

I used nlite1.0fi.exe, so have downloaded the latest version and will try that.

thanks,

No luck.

I installed the latest version, pointed it to my slipstream folder, added the drivers I needed and then clicked yes to 'Do you want to start the process'.

This runs through to 100% and then it displays the size. I click next and I get the customization finished screen with credits and copyright. The only option available here is Finish which exits the program.

I have tried creating anew slipstream, not including drivers etc but still get the same results.

thanks for your help.

Ok.

I am a DICK.

I forgot to select Create Bootable ISO.

What can I say? Except that at this very moment I am packing my computer away, clearing my desk and quietly walking away. How I ever got this job I don't know.

:blushing:

<sheesh>
