surprising how young the members are here. can one of the admins do an average age? or will that make some a little uneasy?

Why not just make your own poll ?

Its funny most of you say that u've got your own computer and your parent don't say anything to you bc they also have their pc's.

Well my parents have pc's my sister have a pc I've a pc
they stay on it for at most 1hr. I'm constantly infront of it
They always come and tell me to shut it down. They keep telling me to study! Hopefully thats all they can do since I know comp better then them, I've control of it whatso ever.

I know a friend of mine, His father turns off the power of his room hehe I got a ups :) that didn't work once they tried it:) ehehe
of course for 20 min but enought time to save my work and enought time to yell at them lol

Noone ever told me to get off my computer when I was younger... And I am glad. I now work in the industry and I owe it all to my sister (I lived with my sister from 12-18) letting me sit at my computer 22 hours of the day! My sister is the one who bought me the computer...

Good Ole' Tandy. 486SX, 4MB RAM, 512MB HD :)

At the time it was "top of the line" and had a $5000 price tag on it.

My parents are always telling me to get of.

They've never used a PC before, that why, I guess.

Lucky me, my wife is just as addicted to computers as I am. :D
She has her own computer and is into graphics, PSP and so on.
Me, well pretty much everything else than graphics.
Maybe my daughter should soon have here own to (she's only 2), but she loves to play with mom and dads keyboards and mouses, and sometimes the powerbutton :realmad:
So no problems spending time at the computer here, when the kid is asleep.

I'm to old to get nagged. Wouldn't put up with it if they tried.

You can start by fidgetting. You can burn off up to 10 lbs a year I read. Next, put down that Hostess Twinkie. :P

Very awesome sister you have there. One more testament to women being underrated.

There is an irony in a post like this. I realized that while I've never been told to get off the computer throughout all the years, I can't tell you how many times I've been told to get off the Atari, Nintendo, etc. I guess the parents and/or the girlfriend think we are more productive on the computer. HAHAHAHAHA.

Well, sometimes I am ;)

Wow, so the vast majority here are under 18?

I'm 24, living in an apartment with a roomate that has absolutely no business telling me to get off of anything! ;)
