I keep getting an annoying error 9 times out of 10 when I close Outlook. A
window pops up that says, "microsoft word has encountered a problem and need
s to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience". It has a checkbox for me
to check or not if I want to recover my work in microsoft word. It also has
a button at the bottom for me to send an error report to microsoft.
I'm using XP office professional. I've tried uninstalling and then reinstal
ling. But that doesn't fix it. Also Outlook seems to lockup for 10 or 20 se
conds sometimes but if I leave it alone it unlocks.
Any tips or suggestions?
Thanks,
John

You could try stopping word from being your default for composing emails.
I dont know for office XP, but for 2003:
Tools > Options > Mail Format
uncheck use word as default.
