I have found myself needing to type up a legal contract for my employer and have come a little stuck.
I need to create a } that is 4 times bigger that the normal size insomuch that it is 4 lines tall and can have 4 lines of text either side of it.
If I create a giant } in paint and paste it in, it'll only allow 1 line of text each side. If I use a giant font, it'll do the same.
I'm going to attempt to create 3 columns in a certain section of the document and to see if I can just have column one and three at normal font size and column 2 as the giant }. Got a hunch that that won't work though.
Any suggestions other than taking the whole section into Paint, including the text and pasting it as one large object.

Something like this:
Last note: Font sizes are huge but it's just for the sake of illustration.

Step 1
First draw a table (manually) and divide it into three parts (roughly).
- Then put your cursor in the left table.
- Then increase the font size.
Step 2
- Now put your bracket there.
Do the same for the table to the right.
Step 3
- Put your cursor in the middle of the table and type your text.
Step 4
- To finish things off: select "No Edge" (see image).
What you are doing is that you make the lines blank so you don't see them when it's printed but they're still there.
Of course you must crop and resize the table as you see fit!
There you go!

Ahhhh.... Never thought to do it in a table.
I was getting there with my whacked out column idea.
Thanks - that's working perfectly.

Here's a better way: Use equation editor, which is not installed by default, but if you have your MS Office CD, do Add/Remove, then install Equation Editor.
Here's what it looks like:
