alright im looking into buying some new memory i know that Latency is a big deal the lower the better for speed.

one memory is
DDR2 675 (PC2 5400) but latancy timing is 4-4-4-12
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820145015

the other is

DDR 400 (PC 3200) with latancy timing at 2-3-2-5
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820227210

both sets are close in price. which would you say is faster? better deal?

Why comparing DDR and DDR2? Pick the type your motherboard supports?

DDR and DDR2 DIMMs arent compatible, Either your motherboard supports one or the other, Also are you using Intel or AMD, Intel would be better if you have low latencies AMD tend to work better with high Freqs
