And your post ain't it against this forum's rules? If what sandman112 was legal wouldn't media center components be available for download separately for installing on XP Pro? Biohead Posted August 10, 2006 Share Posted August 10, 2006 Even if he follows this method, I'm still not sure he can properly install the 360 software. The 2 main packages for 360 is an XP SP2 version, and a heavier XP MCE version. If you install the MCE version on XP SP2 (pro/home) it would just install Windows Media Connect as it detected it was not an MCE install.Best thing is to just go out and buy MCE 2005.
