INF INSTALL ERROR from command prompt Rate Topic:

I type

%SystemRoot%\system32\rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 C:\temp\VIAEHCX1.INF

to update VIA USB 2.0 drivers

and I get "Installation failed" errror

Also when I do right click - instal it seems like something is going on, but nothing changes.

Why?

If this is a driver, then I'll bet that there isn't a section called DefaultInstall to run.

I would suggest you search the appropriate forum for a driver install method instead.
