thanks for this wela ... have already downloaded the file ... althugh i'm not having any audio issue i'll test this via HF later

Can anyone tell about this Hotfix? Is it important, a"must have"? Or only required having problems with audiofiles?

Hi,
Only if required-
"Audio playback does not play the audio file from the correct position after you pause it, and you randomly receive a Stop error message when you try to play audio files in Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2)"
