:( Tried to download sp3 which failed. Now have problems with XL. It opens with message "configuring XP with front page. This fails with message that installation file PROPLUS.MSI cannot be found. Now all downloads for off xp fail with error 0x8024002D and the missing file. Tried MS troubleshooting without success neither can I find the error listed on the web site. System came loaded so I don't have a disc. Can anybody help please.

How have you tried to download it?

If possible, try Microsoft Update as it incorporates Office as well as Windows.

:( Hi thanks for the response. Yes I have tried downloads. Yesterday I upgraded but still cannot download anything to do with Office XP. System restore doesn't work either. I have tried to find the file PROPLUS.MSI on other PC's but searches fail. Do you know what this file is?

I believe the proplus.msi is located on your office cd, that may have not been copied to your source file...
