Just wondered if you knew how to add a gif resource with command line such as this in Windows XP:

ResHacker.exe -modify nusrmgr.cpl, nusrmgr.mod, my.gif, 23, USERS32.GIF,

(all files together in a temp directory)

Ok, this doesn't work. How to do? Thanks.

It seems that Reshacker just fails for any resource with a name that has a '.' in it from the command line.

It still works in the GUI though.

Exists Solution for resources, "23 name.ext" from command line script :angel

Use Reshacker 3.6 but fails at each attempt :angry:

Solution:

Extract Resources

Edits All Resources

Manually insert to file

Deleted all Resources unmodified

Extract with RES Format File All MOdify Resources "Created automatically Tree Resources"

Created script with are Options

[FILENAMES]

Exe=file_location\filename_original.ext

SaveAs=file_location\filename_save.ext

[COMMANDS]

-addoverwrite Resources_created.RES,,,

or

-addoverwrite Resources_created.RES,LOCATION,,

LOCATION=23, ICONGROUP, BITMAP, STRINGTABLE, ETC.

SAVE with TXT FILE for Example SCR.TXT

Automatically process in command line: RESHACKER -SCRIPT SCR.TXT

Bye :thumbup
