Hello I recently istalled Ghost Recon 2 Advanced Warfighter and in the end setup recommended installation of Ageia PhysX 2.5 software.

Can anyone tell me if this software helps to improve performance in games?
And which games if it does?

Because i don't know if i should uninstall it or leave it installed ?

Thnx

That requires a new card. It is hardware-based physics acceleration.

You probably shouldn't install the software if you don't have a card. I haven't read anything about it helping without the hardware.

You would probably know if you had such a card :)

As Tain said it's a hardware phsics accelerator, only a new technology, about 2 or 3 months old. It has take off yet, but it's slowly building up. I installed the software with GRAW and I didn't notice any differnece without it.

I remember that I tried playing GRAW with the AGEIA installed and then without it. Same thing. It is only valuable if you have the AGEIA card in your rig. New technology though, yet to be implemented (just look at the prices of such a card...)

Based on Azion and nitroshift's experiences, you may as well uninstall it since it doesn't do anything for you.
