Hello...

If someone could help me!

As far as I can see I've done everything as mentioned in the unattended xp guide.

Everything runs smoothly until it gets to installing windows media player 9 [the xp one] and then I get this..

'The application has failed to start because Framedyn.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem'

It then proceeds to install it anyway but gives me the same error message thing-a-me for DX9b..
[I get the same error now that everythings installed and finished]

and then when it's all nearly done, I get this...

ERROR loading srclient.dll the specified module could not be found....

Anyone have any ideas as to what gives? :/

Sounds to me like either your downloads of WMP9 and DX9.0b are incomplete, or you've got a dud (or incomplete ie. Beta) version of Windows.

thanxs for the blindingly fast reply....

But they work fine normally (the two exe's) and the whole process worked before glitch free.... well almost.. I had the problem where the install and drivers folder didn't get copied over.. but i sorted it.

nothings beta and everything is legit...

is framedyn.dll part of windowsxp?

Yes it is. Its located in \Windows\System32\wbem directory.

How are you testing your CD? Perhaps something went wrong when encoding the ISO?

I'm testing it by building the ISO with ultraISO and burning it with alcohol 120 and then runing it on my girlfriends PC... I'll try again and go through it bit by bit... cos on my previous attempt this wasn't the error I got....

does it matter in which order the hotfixes are installed.. as at present I have them in numerical..

thanx....

I dont think it does matter which order they are installed. Just as long as when you apply hotfixes certain programs (ie WMP9 for example) that WMP9 is installed first.
