Hotfix switches: / or -? Seen both used... Rate Topic: -----

The MSFN.org unattended guide recommends the / based switches on the hotfixes. I have seen some posts in here which use - instead of /. I was wondering what is the verdict on this one? Which is the best way to go?

I dont think it matters.

/ switch is required for preinstallation

- switch can be used post install

in theory both will work, however, there have been varying degrees of failures when a hotfix was delivered out of context to the development and support teams

ie, broken setup/non standard setup etc
