Vista - HDD query Rate Topic: -----

Hello All,

I have one basic query. In the vista site i can see that min HDD free space=15GB.
does it mean I should have 15gb free space in the partition where i will be installing vista>????

yes, you should definetly have at least 12gigs, 15gigs would be better tho just in case vista needs the space

i am screwed now :(
i have 40gb HDD, but no 15gb space in any one of the partitions :(

That's the beauty of Micro$oft....... making you buy new hardware to support Vista. I have a feeling that many people will be in the same boat. :(

Fixed. There probably will be another project similar to nLite... I wonder how slimmed-down Vista can be made.

i agree, its tough to slim down Vista, but not impossible. It never asked me what features i want when i actually started installing. Moreover it cant upgrade my XP as it was FAT32 format :(

80 gig HD is 40 bucks on Newegg, i know no one likes to spend money but HD space is cheap

Umm, Ok. So you're complaining about how much half a Terabyte costs, compared to, lets say 5 years ago?!
