hi mi new so sorry if this has been possted but i have had a serch around on the fourm and seen that 7-zip thing but i dont think its for window vista rc1 5600 do you think ther is a way to get it to work any help on this thanx

hi i found this but i dont really undestand it

Update of the method for installing Nero 6
START :
u need the both exe nero6xxxx.exe and nero6xxxx_<lng>.exe
with winrar, u extract the both files in 2 folders like that
<yourpath>\nero
<yourpath>\nero_lng
u pick up the setup.exe form the first path and u copy it in the second path
(to erase the setup.exe for the language wich is not really cool for silent install)

then you can use two methods to install the 2 packages
1st method :
use the following commands:
update the registry with a regfile containing the key see in
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ahead\Nero - Burning Rom\Info]
and then :
nero\setup.exe /silent /noreboot
nero_lng\setup.exe /silent

2nd method :
repack the to setup files with winrar to make 2 sfx exe (both with the same setup.exe form 0)
then
in the nero.exe u obtained put the following comment :

Setup=setup.exe /SFX /SN=xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx /WRITE_SN /SILENT /NO_UI /NOCANCEL /NOREBOOT
TempMode
Silent=1
Overwrite=1
Title=Nero 6.0- 6.3.0.3 Ahead Software AG
------------------
where xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx is your serial number
in the langage setup put the following comment :

Setup=Setup.exe /SFX /SILENT /NO_UI /NOCANCEL /NOREBOOT
TempMode
Silent=1
Overwrite=1
Title=Nero 6.0 - <your lang> Language Installer

and launch the 2 setup during your installation....

actually nero 6 is working on Vista RC1 5600 with no problems here. Nero 7 isn't workin' though..

@ N1K: With Nero 7 Lite installer, it is possible to get Nero working. I've tested Burning ROM, CoverDesigner, NeroExpress, CD-DVD Speed and DriveSpeed so far. No problems.

i can get nero 6 to work on my pc thats rc1 5536 but on my laptop its vista rc1 5600 and i just cannot seem to get it to install there both on cleen installs of vista

i reinstalled nero 6 but i dont give me an error it just comes up nero burning rom has stopped working a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. windows will close the program and notifify you if a solution is avalabbla. please do i need do do a sient install if so how do i do this coz i want rc1 5600 on my pc aswell but with nero 6 coz rc1 5600 is faster and better thanx

Why bother matey, Vista RC1 build 5728 is available for download and you'll probably won't have problems with it since it has more improvements from RC1 5600

no i downloaded windows vista rc1 build 5728 and installed it and i tryed nero 6 but still the same there has got to be a way around this

now im geting unabule to load plugin manager so i cliclick ok and it pops up agan and i click ok agan and it works but its just that now do you think i need a plugin pack for it

i got it working thax for your help i installed nero 6.0.0.13 thats when i was geting that plugin error so i updated that to nero 6.0.0.15 and it works perfeckt thanx
