Spybot - Search & Destroy v1.6.0.30 [Released: July 08, 2008]
Spybot Search and Destroy searches your hard drive for so-called spy- or adbots; that is, little modules that are responsible for the ads many programs display. Many of these modules also transmit information, including your surfing behavior on the Internet. If it finds such modules, it can remove them. In most cases the host still runs fine after removing the spyware/adware.

Another feature is the removal of usage tracks, which makes it more complicated for unknown spybots to transmit useful data. The list of last visited websites, opened files, started programs, cookies, all that and more can be cleaned. Supported are the three major browsers Internet Explorer, Netscape Communicator, and Opera.

Spybot - Search & Destroy v1.5.2 Final/Release
Spybot - Search & Destroy detects and removes spyware, a relatively new kind of threat not yet covered by common anti-virus applications. Spyware silently tracks your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile for you that is transmitted without your knowledge to the compilers and sold to advertising companies. If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you haven't intentionally installed, if your browser crashes inexplicably, or if your home page has been "hijacked" (or changed without your knowledge), your computer is most probably infected with spyware. Even if you don't see the symptoms, your computer may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging. Spybot-S&D is free, so there's no harm giving it a try to see if something has invaded your computer.

Spybot - Search & Destroy v1.4 updated through December 01, 2006
(Also includes components from BETA v1.5)

File size :: 5.57 MB (5,842,228 Bytes)
MD5 :: 397178600C436DF61DBABFF05824A354
website :: Spybot - Search & Destroy
Main :: FileFront

Silent/Unattended installer features
  • Multilanguage
  • All updates inclusive through 12/01/06
  • No tutorial
  • No Legal stuff popup
  • Auto immunize silently after setup complete (autoimmunize only effective for IE6/IE7. You will have to immunize Firefox manually after it is first run and your user profile created)
  • Adds & protects Spybot - Search & Destroy Hosts file
  • Updated Tools (tools.dll) (update 03/31/06)
  • Updated Scanning engine (advcheck.dll) from BETA v1.5 - The methods available to detect malware have been more than doubled, including new ways to generically detect malware mutations.
  • Updated TeaTimer from BETA v1.5 - Aside from the fix of the graphical glitch, TeaTimer now automatically allows any changes during the installation of other security software which follow the ASCs (Anti Spyware Coalition) guideline of code-signing all files, as well as a much improved scan of the files associated with registry changes.
  • Vista Security Center integration from BETA v1.5 - Spybot-S&D can now easily integrate into the Vista Security Center; which will then monitor if Spybot-S&D is up-to-date and whether the permanent protection (TeaTimer) is running or not. This update will only show on Vista systems, since previous Windows versions do not offer anti malware integration into WSC.

In your 1.4 Releases, how did you integrate the updates?

Make a silent installation package which installs Spybot - Search & Destroy, afterwhich it executes the latest includes-file.

spybotsd_includes.exe /S

Out of curiosity, were you planning on doing another customized version of 1.5.2? If not that's okay -- I really appreciate all of the packs you've done for spybot!

Can we, anyhow, make this addon to "not" to install or activate the "tea timer"? It's a pain in the a**, everytime i install this, i remember why i removed it from my previous windows (:

nomadturk, which addon are you talking about ? in the customized addon, teatimer is not activated by default but is included in the installation since some people might be using it. you don't have to use or activate it if you don't like it (I don't like it either)

if you mean the stock addon, i'll take a look at it over the weekend
