Hi,
I have problems of opening some recently created documents.
They are on a network folder and a couple of people must have access to edit them (Word 97 + Word2000)
Word freezes for approx. 3 Minutes before opening them (all Word versions).
Saving again and reopening has the same effect.
The documents are small only one page and Arial font, no graphics.
How can I find out what particular thing makes Word freezing?

Hello. This usually means that Word is looking for network drives or FTP sites that are not available, so right-click on My Computer and select Disconnect Network Drive to disconnect any mapped network drives that are not currently available.

OK, deactivating the network card does work!
But what have I to change in the documents then to work in the network again?
How can I monitor what particular file is word trying to access?

Try opening word with all the defaults!
word.exe /a
word.exe /a
