i just built a new pc and i'm able to boot into safe mode and enable vga mode. i've uninstalled my video card drivers along with the software, but upon the normal windows xp boot i get the 0x7E bluescreen and a reboot. can anyone help, or has anyone found a work around for this problem? should i install vista beta?

Hehehe, that's not your graphics card then, it's the steam installer that buggered your windows installation. Uninstall it and see if the problem persists.
