Erm, you may have to forgive me, but...

I've just re-installed windows and have set WU to "Notify me but don't automatically download or install them".

Upon browsing the updates to be download and installed I noticed KB905474( Windows Genuine Advantage) was not listed....

Any ideas whats going on...? Am I the first to see this??

Just curious.. :sneaky:

M$ decided not to continue with WGA? :D

Either that or it was installed automatically without your permission, check to see if WgaTray.exe and WgaLogon.dll are present on your system for verification.

No, it's gone. I just reinstalled tonight and updated through IE. There was no EULA for WGA and RemoveWGA didn't see anything to remove afterwards. On a WGA infected system, I ran RemoveWGA then went to Windows Update in IE. There was no offer to put it back on. I rebooted, still no offer. Let's hope the next version of MRT will remove WGA.

Yeah, I checked and WGA is not available on the Windows Update site. Good. Hopefully goodbye forever and good riddance.
