nLite 1.2RC is working great for me and it does almost everything I could think of in the moment.

But as you know you can always improve things:

1. Does the GUI of nLite 1.2 provides this WINNT.SIF option: [UserData] | FullName="xxx"?
Because I can't see it and I have to add this line in the file by myself.
It was there in the older releases though.

2. Integration support for wallpapers, cursors, sounds... would be great.
Especially wallpapers (something similar to the themes support now).

3. Integration support for boot logo (instead of Winows XP Pro/Home etc...)

4. Possibility to import .reg files and start them after the first logon or near the end of the installation.
You just load them in nLite or write them in some text box in nLite and they run during the installation.

5. Ability to integrate and run .exe, .msi installers with switches.


What do you think?

Feel free to request anything else you think will improve nLite after v1.2 in this thread

few of your request will be in nlite......but only nuhi knows when,......

1. Fill out Admin's (first user) Full name in Users page
2. Maybe only wallpapers but no plans yet
3. Nah...reshack your own then overwrite
4. Yeah that one is long overdue but simple runonce entry in Unattended - Runonce page "regedit /s file.reg" would suffice
5. Try those 2-3 addon makers and just integrate with nlite, point is same and I don't have time now, maybe later. Also what I use lately is extracted addons integration...meaning for example notepad.exe and entries.ini in the same folder then integrate entries.ini and it will pull the needed info...easy to update or change some entries

is it possible to set the "Location" with nLite.

It's set fine for me but I use the all in one option (upper radio button in Regional page in nlite)

u gotta have the NT kernel install before you can apply any boot screen mods to it
BUT! i also think you gotta have the UN edited ver of the kernel to be able to apply updates / services packs to the OS

If i slipstream textmode drivers ,why still setup shows "Press F6 to" msg ??

More requests:

- possibility to configure the language bar.
- possibility to splitstream keyboard layouts (bulgarian phonetic for example which for some reason is not included in the official WinXP release)

The time is always a problem, even more now with the upcoming Vista release.

Nevertheless I hope these features will be implemented in the future.
By the way MS put the wrong BG phonetic layout in Vista, so it should be replaced anyway
