Making an MDGx 98/98SE CDR

Hello Everyone :hello:

Happy Pre-Columbus Day for those who celebrate it.

I would like to take the most essential patches, exe., etc. located on MDGx’s website and create a CD that I can have for future references. Overwhelmed by so much stuff, I'm in need of your help.

What would be the bare essentials that you could not do without if you were making a MDGx Windows 98/98SE CD.

I can only think of one (IDE Barrier Patch) and it is probably because everything is working in tiptop form.

Thanks.

If you look in the unofficial subforum above and the older threads here you'll find topics and tools for making a customised "third edition" of 98 install CD with newer files integrated, that may be of help.

I've nearly finished the Windows 98 autopatcher which will include all updates from MDGx's site plus every other bloomin update there is. An alpha will appear within the next few days, promise.

soporific:

Looking forward to testing your new autopatcher.

Sounds like the only solution to replacing obsolete M$ WU/WUC.

If you need the links to all my files, please download W95-11D.ZIP:

http://www.mdgx.com/95.htm

Then extract SOFTWARE.TXT and open it in Notepad or similar ASCII editor.

All my files are located in these directories:

regular updates/(hot)fixes/patches:

service packs:
