i was wondering does it use the same timezone as your profile or is it standard because at different times of the day the post count is different

We have had an issue or two relating to timezones, but this doesn't sound like one. Please be more specific about what counter you are referring to.

today's top 10 posters in my assistant

i think it is timezone related.
because at one time when i was looking at it it said that i had posted 13 times but later in the day it said i had posted 7 times. 7 times was right

Oh, that :)

That number reflects the last 24 hours in a progressive, dynamic fashion. If you post 10 times right now, those posts will be counted for the next 24 hours. 25 hours from now it will show that you haven't posted at all for "the day."

If you post 5 times now and then 5 more times in 12 hours, the counter will show that you have posted 10 times until 24 hours after your first five posts. Then it will display 5 posts for 12 hours after that.

Am I making any sense? There is probably a better way to describe this...

i think so, so its hourly rather than time zone
