My Unattend XP and "HAL" i need a Modified HAL Rate Topic: -----

hey guys, am needing to install my XP on my HDD but don't wanna take up too much space by installing windows more than once and the thought is a "Modified HAL", where i can just simply take my HDD & place it into any of mines or my friends machine [ intel or amd ] and just Boot from my HDD without any problems?

What do you mean with that "Modified HAL"? Could you explain a little bit?

As far as I know that is not possible. Windows wil start to boot in another machine, but if it's different chipset you will end up with BSOD saying:
Inaccessible boot device.

Maybe you know something I don't.
